PVE Wolves engaged in busy morning or learning!
PVE Walk to School Day is one of the greatest days of the year. We are a true community that invests in our kids. PVE has been participating in this event since 1996. Thank you to our incredible PTO, Black Bear Coffee, Safeway and King Soopers for donating drinks and food. Go Wolves!
A big 'thank you' to our Family Awareness Network (FAN) for hosting the Mindfulness & Positivity Project this evening for our students, staff, and families!
PVE is having some fun in the Homecoming parade. Thanks for making this memorable for our PVE community.
A very special congratulations to Carol Kleiner for her induction into the Cheyenne Mountain Hall of Fame!
Camp Complete! Our PVE 6th grade students had an incredible 2 days at Camp Shady Brook YMCA. Ropes course, canoeing, zip line, archery, rock wall and more. This will be a time they'll remember forever. Relationships, friendships, and memories....our students are the best.
A big 'thank you' to the students, families, and staff who participated in our District-wide wildland fire evacuation and reunification exercise at the Broadmoor World Arena on September 13, 2024! We also want to thank Pikes Peak OEM, CSFD, CSPD, D2, D11, and the Broadmoor for their support in planning and successful execution of our drill! Safety continues to be a top priority in D12!
PVE second graders learning interjections... compliments of Schoolhouse Rock!
A very special 'thank you' to Ann Naughton and Carol Kleiner for their decades of service to our D12 Tradition of Excellence Foundation!

Teaching our students how to play by game rules at recess. Peaceful Playground Day!
School is in the air! Our first full day with our students was incredible with staff preparation, Boohoo Breakfast and classroom routines. Welcome Back!
Good afternoon, Cheyenne Mountain Staff and Families.
Below you will find a message we received this afternoon from the Colorado Springs Utilities that we wanted to pass along to you.
We are nearing completion of a large scale natural gas improvement project on Cheyenne Blvd. Many feet of aging gas main were installed this summer to prevent road closures during the school year. In addition, over 70 residential services will soon be installed along Cheyenne Blvd. after the school year start. Our crews are aware that school orientations are taking place tomorrow and Friday August 16th. Extra duty CSPD officers will be patrolling areas around all Cheyenne Mountain D12 schools to ensure the safety of everyone traveling in this corridor. The City of Colorado Springs continues their curb, gutter and paving work with more information here: https://coloradosprings.gov/cheyennestudy.
I want to again encourage safety and patience for everyone as we prepare to welcome back our amazing students for the start of another great school year!
My best,
David
Dr. David J. Peak, Superintendent
